In a city once famous for commercial trade and, we daresay, being the hub of business meetings since the 1400’s Casa del Rio offers meeting facilities to meet the needs of modern business.
The hotel’s seven function rooms of varying sizes and main Ballroom mean that there will be a facility to suite most meeting or conference requirement be it an interview for 2 or a seminar for 180.
Each room has been named after a ship of significance with a relationship to this historic city. They range from star raft Zheng He’s (Cheng Ho) immense treasure ship in the 1400’s to the flagship of the royal Malaysian navy the KD Hang Tuah. Each room carries a history of its namesake vessel preserving the information as a mini museum.
The hotel has purchased state of the art meeting equipment starting with an ergonomic chair that means after a full day of conferencing there will be plenty of energy left for post conference team building sessions.
Uniquely all rooms also have natural light with an option for black out or day blinds.
Similarly most of the breakout areas also have natural light and are in ambient temperature making this a refreshing alternative to be in sealed in by air-conditioned spaces.
Our banquet team have developed a set of themed meeting breaks some of which are Picnic, day Care, Pirates, Chocolate, Trivia to name a few.
While we have prepared a number of menus for selection the hotel is quite prepared to discuss and tailor meals and events to the individual needs of the client.
